Dua Lipa is a Brit singer/songwriter who was born in London United Kingdom on August 22nd, 1995. She signed a contract with Warner Bros Records after a few years of working and put out a self-titled album in the year 2017. It peaked at 3rd place at the U.K. Albums Chart and released eight singles which included Be the One I.D.G.A.F as well as the U.K. number-one track New Rules which peaked at 6th within the United States. Lipa received the Brit Award in the year 2018 for British Female Soloist and British Breakthrough Artist. Her album is certified platinum across a variety of countries. She is the daughter of Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa Rexha and Dukagjin Lipa. Dua Lipa has Bosnian roots through her grandmother. It is also possible to trace her family tree back to Peja within Kosovo. Her grandparents were both historians and professors. The siblings of Lipa are Rina as well as Gjin. Lipa was influenced musically by her father who was the guitar player and lead singer of the Kosovan rock band Oda.
