Ali MacGraw

Elizabeth Alice MacGraw better known as Ali MacGraw is an award-winning American model actor author designer as well as an animal rights activist. Her movies are Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) and The Getaway ( 1972). The desire to become an artist was influenced by her family background within a New York family of artists. At first she was employed as an photographer's assistant. Then she shifted her focus into directing and modeling. She was noticed in her first two movies and was awarded the Golden Globe Award for Most Popular newcomer. MacGraw was a household name after the 1970 hit film Love Story. She was selected for an Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. In just three films, she became the top female box office actress in the entire world. Her footprints from 1972 along with her signature were inscribed on the wall at Grauman's Chinese Theater. She was a part of several other movies, including The Getaway Convoy Players and the miniseries on TV The Winds of War among many others. Her autobiography Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw got married to three different people.
