Simone Biles

Simone Biles, American gymnast (born 14 March 1997 in Columbus Ohio U.S.), was considered as one of sport's best athletes. The 2016 Olympics took place at Rio de Janeiro and Biles was one of the U.S.'s only female gymnast to be awarded four gold medals. She also claimed the title of world champion for all-around 3 times in succession (2013-15). Biles grew up within Spring Texas in the Houston metro area, where she and her younger sister Adria received adoption by grandparents Ronald and Nellie Biles. Simone was introduced to gymnastics by her daycare teacher Aimee Borman when she was six years old. She stayed at Bannon's Gymnastix for 11 years. Biles won a gold in floor exercise and a bronze in vault during the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships in 2010, before advancing to the elite level of gymnastics in the year the year 2011. In less than two years, she was the most dominant athlete in the field. Biles stood out for her constant performance her exuberant attitude and the level of effort she introduced in each event--vault bar, uneven bars as well as balance beams and ground exercise.
