Coleman was from Lancashire and born in Blackpool. She was a headgirl of Arnold School, Blackpool and received straight A's in her A level. In discussing her Emmerdale character Coleman expressed regret over not attending a university. Coleman was in Crystal Clear at the Edinburgh Festival with a company named In Yer Space, which she was a part of while in high school. An award was presented to her for her performance, while the play received an enthusiastic reception. Coleman was given the part of Jasmine Thomas at Emmerdale while performing in drama school in 2005. Coleman received two nominations in 2007. The award was for Best Newcomer at the British Soap Awards and Most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. In 2009, she received nominations in two categories including Best Actress-Sexiest Female as well as Best Performance Dramatic. Coleman is nominated as Best Actress by the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat revealed at a Doctor Who Press Conference on March 21st, 2012 that Coleman was set to portray Matt Smith as the Doctor's companion after Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and other actors left the series. Moffat chose her due to how well she could work together with Smith and also because she could speak faster than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She has been active in the industry since 1987. She has appeared in various TV shows and films. However she has been more prominent on TV rather than in movies. Out of all the characters Eva has appeared in, on TV shows, Dr. Maria Santos in All My Children and Detective Natalia Boa Vista' in CSI Miami are the two which make an impression. The actress was nominated the two "Daytime Emmys" for her first part as well as having the an opportunity to explore her artistic talents. Eva isn't just an actress, she is as well a philanthropist and businesswoman. The actress has three marriages and has a daughter who is with her second husband.
