The show is a tribute to Chase's father Todd Chrisley, a millionaire and the 'patriarch of perfection and his family. Chase's reputation as a mischief-maker keeps the father on his guard. This creates a family dynamic that is more entertaining for viewers. Chase constantly causes trouble. Chase will often coax his father to allow his son to be a troublemaker. Chase's ongoing effort to beat his father usually results in him recruiting Savannah, his sister Savannah as his partner in crime. It is said that Chase is their most loved persona, followed closely by Savannah. However, they could both soon get a new show. Todd Chrisley stated in an interview that a brand new show called Growing Up Chrisley will follow Savannah and Chase as they start college. In the past, Chase also hosted a podcast show titled 'The Chase Christy Podcast'.
